Del (5q) Deletion Probe LPH024

Del(5q) Deletion Probe

This is the most common rearrangement in AML and MDS and involves the deletion of a region of 5q including EGR1. This is thought to be a good candidate gene for these patients because, with interaction between it and the fibronectin, TGFB1 and plasminogen activator 1 genes it can inhibit cancer growth.
